silicon plug insert to prevent air bubbles.

The ink feed system of a Montblanc fountain pen is perfectly aligned with the physical characteristics of Montblanc ink which has been specially developed for this purpose. Tested by Hand
Each and every Montblanc refill is hand-inspected under a microscope and undergoes a writing test to ensure it has
perfect writing properties. Select refills are picked at random to undergo additional inspections - one of
which requires the Ballpoint Fine refill to write up to 10,000 meters!
Warranty
Filling your Montblanc writing instrument with generic refills could affect your warranty. Because generic refills are
not designed by Montblanc to perfectly fit into Montblanc writing instruments, they could cause damage to the structure
of the writing instrument. Also, inks used in other brands could corrode and destroy the interior of your fountain pen. Damages
caused by generic refills are not covered by the Montblanc warranty.
